Like the popular Cliff's Notes, this page is to give people an overview of everything that is CtS! Links to various sources of further information are also provided. As CtS grows, it becomes increasingly difficult for new members to find everything so hopefully this will help everyone, including the current members.

In 2016, human greed had reached a turning point. The earth resources were starting to run out and the competition over crude oil and the like was at an all time high. Wars raged across the globe until a single incident changed the world forever. During a drilling operation, a dragon cave was uncovered, killing several members of the Aerie in the process. With humanity at such odds with each other, the dragons easily wiped out most major cities. Many people became nomadic, staying ahead of the creatures but some dug in. Humans with special mental powers, called Psionics, created a city called Romford, reluctantly sheltering non-powered humans. Today, that city has grown to a small metropolis, even with two Aeries on it's doorstep, but it is by no means a utopia.

Suwani Evacution (July 5th, '83)

The Resistance
Made up of mostly humans and escaped tainted, this motley crew is working towards a better future for humankind. They have organized such raids as setting off bombs at the Suwani Deligation Gala and collaborated with Storm Heights and New York to destroy Satinus. To join the Resistance, a human must speak with Vlad Zivan or Sienna Rossi in character. Alternatively they can be invited by Tara Kaelin, Alejandro Bastien, Jamison Zivan or Azael Moreno.

Romford General
Owned by Cristian Garmieux, this is the only hospital in Romford that will not only admit humans but treat them for free if they cannot afford the services. Currently staffed by Tristan McKie (head of medical research), Alana Windchaser (nurse) and Aleksandr Solanto (medical student). With a large influx of patients, we could use more staff here!

Mapiya
The Suwani Village is a hotbed of activity! Away from the luxuries of the city, the people here are in tune with nature and enjoy events such as camping trips, festivals and hunting parties. Last year the Psionic Council invited the Suwani to visit the city in hopes of gaining them as allies. Since they have not heard back from them, the Council is debating on hunting them down. Frequently seen faces around the village are Cael Westbriar (warrior), Melisande Nightbloom (field worker), Abey Snowbird (shaman), Alana Windchaser (shaman), Quinlan Treefall (healer), Ryker Flint (farmer), Tena Goldenthunder (dragon) and Nüying Rouxinol (dragon).

Romford Security/Satinus
Since the fall of Satinus, the two facilities have been mashed together and forced to share space. Needless to say, the staff of the two places were not pleased. RSIS soldiers (like Majors A.J. Smith and Jean Bellemont) have been paired with Tainted for the new Artemis Division to hunt down and capture/kill the escapees. Regular work must go on, although the records department (ran by Marek Smith and Daniel Normandy) has had a hell of time getting things straightened out so things can take over where they left off. We are in desperate need of new Researchers, Doctors, Trainers and Psychiatrists. Most of the sane ones quit after the eyeopener that was the Raid to leave less crazy lives.

The Aeries
New York [NY] and Storm Heights [SH] could not be more different. Under the leadership of Chen-Qi, Dayaal Aadi and his mate Vespera are trying to prove that humans and dragons can co-exist. On the other hand, Jianna Nuying (SH's Zhuxi) has a burning desire to wipe Romford off the face of the planet. She does however find the tainted to be amusing playthings though... It is not so black and white, I'm afraid ... perhaps that is why many dragons prefer to be rogues. NY is in most need of some new blood so please consider joining the movement for equality!

Psionic
Psionics are humans with a major advantage. Psychic powers ranging from X-ray vision to shaping metal have made them a force to be reckoned with, as well as having longer lifespans and the ability to heal much faster than normal humans - even those born to two psionic parents but didn't develop their own powers (called Latents). Quite often, Psionics will have strangely colored hair or eyes, this is considered very prestigious to have your powers manifest physically. Their powers are ranked by a Tier System that was designed by Humphrey Romford (Romford's founder) and although biased, it is the system used today. Higher Tiers are often afforded more luxuries just because of their rank however lower tiered powers, when used right, can be just as dangerous. Also see Government.

Human
Humans have been pushed down to the very bottom of society. The Psionic government feels that they need to be paid back for the protection that they give them so they are treated as little more than slaves. They are provided with little to no education, poor health care and sub par rations. There is a large homeless problem with many humans dying each winter. Their only hope comes from The Resistance, a group of rebellious humans that work behind the scenes to try and make things better. Their efforts are hindered by the rising of Humans First who are kamikaze at best and hell bent on destroying the psionics.

Tainted
The Tainted are living experiments, created by Satinus Technologies. Originally they were designed to hunt the dragons as a means of eliminating the risk on Psionic lives but their powers have opened up new avenues. Many are being used on patrol as cops in the bad section of town for example. There are many kinds of tainted, the most common being those with animal DNA introduced along with a catalyst that allows the resulting experiment to transform into the animal. Aquatic creatures as well as those in the Metaphysics project (created to manufacture psionic powers in non-psionics) are most needed.

Dragons
In the medieval ages, all the dragon Aeries went into hibernation, planning to sleep until the humans were gone from the world. But when they woke, it was to the stone crushed bodies of their family and friends. Two Aeries are involved with the people of Romford. Unknown to the Psionics, it is very common to see a dragon walking the streets unnoticed. Both the New York and Storm Heights have Wings in the city, investigating the humans and their ways. Dragons come in many colors, each with their unique powers. Dragons are known to live for thousands of years.

Suwani
Unlike the psionics, the Suwani took on a more spiritual life when the dragons came. They hid in the forest, making use of the world around them and respecting it. They developed powers through meditation and hard work, carving out a piece of the world all their own. Their connection with the earth has rewarded them, allowing them to bond with spirit guides that share an existence with ordinary animals.

Nésemóono
The Nésemóono are spirits that inhabit the bodies of ordinary animals to act as guides to their Suwani bonded. Although some are wiser than others, having lived longer and seen more, they are a very large part of the Suwani lifestyle, helping the people thrive in a wilderness that is not always tame.

Spring Events (April 5th - May 25th, '83)
Several events for all races were held: the Suwani held a festival for celebrating spring with games, contests, tournaments, honoring the dead and the living, and honoring the fresh, new couples with romance and the possibility of new life. The dragons held the Ma-Ku spring festival, which celebrates the goddess with contests and mating rituals. The psionics went with something moderately simple, for once, called the Springtime Tea and Blossom Festival, in which was sponsored at a new garden that has several different areas from an exotic greenhouse, traditional flowers, woodsy climate, to a cherry blossom orchard that is Japanese themed. And last, the humans were given a carnival, which was hosted by an anonymous source (suspected to be Persephone Quinn). Food and drink were free, small pools and water slides were provided, a dance floor and security guards were provided to ensure that all were safe. Psionics were allowed but only if they did not cause any trouble. A few Tainted also managed to get in on the fun.

Haunted Hotel (October 31st, '82)
A local law group spent weeks restoring a rundown hotel to mimic the famous Chelsae Hotel in Manhattan. This party for the rich and elite is staged as a fund raiser for local research. Although anyone is technically invited, few will stay for the after party.

Trick or Treating (October 31st, '82)
A fun and carefree plot to get your characters out and about the town. No ulterior motives, I promise.

Venetian Masquerade - (July 4th, '82)
The Masquerade was crawling with security, taking place so soon after the raid - not to mention the failures at many of the other psionic events. Historically important, Persephone Quinn and Darius Casimir began discussions that may lead to political shake-up and the Artemis Division is revealed to hunt down the escaped tainted. The division features RSIS officers paired with Loyal Tainted.

Resistance Bonfire - (July 4th, '82)
The Bonfire is an annual event where the humans of the city risk sneaking outside the limits to blow off some steam and celebrate what freedoms they have. Notably, resistance leaders Vlad Zivan and Sienna Rossi broke their engagement at the party.

The Breakout (Late March '82)
Satinus Technologies, the city's largest lab and the primary creator of experimental human weapons, has been infiltrated. Many of their own have betrayed them, letting their secrets out in exchange for their loved ones freedom. The two dragon Aeries have allied with the human Resistance to create tunnels into the basement of Satinus where a party will go in to sneak out experiments. Overhead, the dragons will create a distraction.

Suwani Camp (April '82)
It seems like the perfect time to go out and have a good week of fun in the wilderness. Every year, a group of young Suwani, from ages 10 to 25, take a camping trip. This year is no different.. until a group of nomads have came along, dangerously close to Mapiya, and decide to make captives of the Suwani campers. A handful are taken while the rest flee back to the village and try to assemble a team to go off and rescue their fellow kinsmen.

The Suwani Delegation & Gala (August '81)
The Suwani village was discovered by an group of Psionics who quickly notified the Romford Goverment. A delegation was sent to the city to perhaps attempt to create diplomatic ties between the Suwani and the Psionics. During this time, a large party (Gala) was thrown to showcase all of what Romford had to perhaps gain some sort of favor with the Diplomats. The Human Resistance at this time, used the massive gathering as a way to bring notice to their continued existence and their unyielding fight against the government. Vlad Zivan, the Leader of the Resistance, gave a list of demands on a hijacked signal. The Resistance had planted bombs in the Gala to use as a distraction for their people and a bluff against the Psionics. Their bluff was called and went terribly wrong resulting in the bombs being detonated and several people were injured in the process.

Chimera Chaos (August '81)
Cierra Moreno was released by Maeson Devereux and wreaked havoc among Hudson Street & surrounding areas. Many humans were injured and some killed. Nearly a week later, she was released again, going to the same area where the battle of two-on-one ( Chen-Qi/Kazunari-Ayane vs Cierra ) took place and resulted in the death of the blue valkyrie. Cierra did not return to Satinus but was knocked out by Chen and taken in by her brother, boyfriend, and his sister.

Dark Days at Satinus (June '81)
Abuse at Satinus has always been an issue, what with the nature of the people who work there, but Hugo Cervantes was among the most diabolical. His position as Head Trainer allowed him access to all the Tainted and his techniques were brutal and more than bordered on abuse. He was finally fired after his assault of Head Researcher Gillian Kavanagh, who reported the incident to Darius Casimir. Satinus security increased threefold and is now monitored by RSIS as well as Satinus Security.

This is a (not so) brief time line outlining notable events that happened during the course of the game. Much of this is a resource rather than required reading. Please refer to it if you need to find the approximate date of something or do a flashback.

Pre-game:

• April 15th, 2016: The first dragon is uncovered and killed by oil drillers in North America.
  
• August 27th, 2016: The city of New York is considered completely uninhabitable.
  
• August 31st, 2016: The Aerie of New York is formed.
  
• February 20th, 2011: The city of Romford is founded by Humphrey Romford.
  
• July 2069: The death of Nadia Scott (Precogition), mother of Rowan Scott (Telekinetic), by Daemon (Black Dragon).
  
• January 2080: The death of Raleigh Romford, murdered by Humphrey Romford. He has not been charged or suspected.
  
• January 2080: Elsabeth Romford becomes Mayor.
  
• Spring 8077: A gold dragon (Tena Goldenthunder) arrives in Mapiya and eventually takes up residence with the Suwani.

February 2081:

• Nuying-Jianna becomes Zhuxi of Storm Heights Aerie.

March 2081:

• Jamison Zivan and Aubrey Monaghan are captured by RSIS in a Resistance Raid.

June 2081:

• The death of Daniel Casimir (Gyrokinesis), father of RSIS Director Casimir. The cause of death was cardiac arrest.
  
• Major Jean Bellemont goes on leave from the DDN after being attacked by a green dragon. He now has a partially artificial leg.

July 2081:

• The conception of twins by Aislin Callaghan (Precognition) & Vlad Zivan (Human).
  
• The deaths of Dimitri and Jacqueline Devereux (Psionics), parents of Maeson Devereux (Gyrokinetic) in a 'house fire'.
  
• The arrest of James McClau (human), for murdering two Psionic teenagers. Transferred to Satinus Technologies.
  
• The arrest of Tara Kaelin (human), for murdering two Psionic teenagers. Miles Langley (Tainted) later helped her escape.
  
• The Suwani Delegation (consisting of: Nahuel Cloudsun, Alaric Ironfeather, Abey Snowbird, Senka Braveheart, Kanti Stormtalon and Alana Windchaser) arrives in Romford.

August 2081:

• The Suwani Gala is attacked by the Resistance. They announced over a loud speaker that they were doing it to get back humans kidnapped by Satinus. This resulted in Suwani suspicions rising and the release of Paige Halifax (Sand cat tainted), the former Resistance leader.
  
• The death of Kazunari-Ayane (Blue Dragon), killed by Cierra Moreno (Tainted) in Chimera form.
  
• Carlos Garcia is dismissed as DDN Brigadier. ---- Kelsey is named as his replacement.

September 2081:

• The tainting of Paige Halifax (human) with sand cat and elasticity.
  
• Taliesin Cledwyn (Gold Dragon) is captured by Satinus while trying to break out Akili Channing.

October 2081:

• The Suwani Delegation returns to Mapiya.

November 2081:

• The death of Jori Crescent (Hydrokinetic), Satinus employee and boyfriend of Anita Valentine.
  
• Aislin Callaghan was badly beaten by members of Humans First and admitted to Romford General Hospital.
  
• Darius Casimir (Psychokinesis) and Francisca Bastien (human) secretly exchanged rings to solidify their relationship.
  
• Alana Windchaser begins to work at Romford General Hospital under the care and supervision of Cristian Garmieux.
  
• Julian Hawthorne saves Kaldea Louvian from guards' harassment and moves her to her enclosure for the night. Has all previous freedoms revokes.
  

December 2081:

• The arrest of Chessa Eleanor (Human) for violating the Laws of Human Citizenship.
  
• The marriage of Adrienne Bellemont (Phobiakinesis) & Beau Lewis (Ferrokinesis).
  
• The conception of Adrienne Bellemont-Lewis(Phobiakinesis) & Blake McCoy (Technopathy).
  
• Vlad Zivan and Sienna Rossi become illegally engaged.
  
• Red (Tainted Hawk) joins the Resistance when he helps Azael Moreno who is put in the hospital by Beau Lewis.
  
• Blake McCoy (Technopath) and Sienna Rossi (human) are attacked and kidnapped by Humans First. They are saved by the Resistance.
  
• Cael Westbriarreveals that he's been making a house for Melisande Nightbloom with the help of Nahuel Cloudsun and Alaric Ironfeather.

January 2082:

• Miles Langley escapes from Satinus, arranged by an unknown medical technician. He is believed dead.
  
• Maventh, Storm Heights Greve, begins digging tunnels into Satinus.
  
• Vlad Zivan is attacked by Human's First. He is aided by Miles Langley.
  
• Tena Goldenthunder bonds with an American Kestrel named Rhys, becoming the first dragon to obtain a bonded.

February 2082:

• The swan tainted, Sasha Diablo, was sold by Satinus to a third party buyer, the first such transaction to occur.
  
• The tainting of Medea with dragon DNA.
  
• Raven Edwards warns Arianwen Louvian to stay away from Satinus.

March 2082:

• The breakout at Satinus Technologies takes place. Satinus lies in ruins after all the damage is done, leaving many escaped and dead.
  
• Aislin Callaghan gives birth prematurely to Vlad Zivan's twins.
  
• Jamison Zivan escapes from Satinus.
  
• Raven Edwards is burned by dragon fire and Calliope Edwards is shot in her leg. Both are saved begrudgingly by Emeric M'guire.
  
• Cristian Garmieux meets and subsequently decides to let Raven Edwards and her daughter move into his apartment.
  
• Arianwen Louvian is captured by Jean Bellemont and placed inside a high security room in RSIS as a prisoner.
  
• Mikhail Nicholai collapses at Satinus during its destruction after rescuing his family and fighting his superior officer. He is admitted to the hospital and escapes a week later. He moves in with Khepri Zhara during her stay at the Resistance HQ.
  
• Akili Channing flees with Taliesin Cledwyn from Satinus, taking up residence in the Storm Heights aerie, where she awaits official citizenship.
  
• Maeson Devereux and Vivienne Bellemont become a couple.
  
• Medea's guardianship is transferred to Maeson Devereux. She moves in with him.
  
• Aubrey Monaghan escapes Satinus Technologies and is taken in by Devon Kerlis
  
• Garth Logan, one of the last remaining Chimeras, is released from Satinus after the break-out. He remains under surveillance.

March 2082 [RAID]:

• Escapees include; Khepri Zahra, Kimie Nicholai, Akili Channing, Aria Vaneto, Taliesin Cledwyn, Raven Edwards, Julian Hawthorne, Felix, Chessa Eleanor, Tartarus, Connor Sablewyng, Aubrey Monaghan.

April 2082:

• Cael Westbriar, Melisande Nightbloom and Abey Snowbird are kidnapped by nomads.
  
• Leya Stormwing, Kihla Ravenschild, Magnus Frostdawn and Camila Forager are kidnapped by the same nomads separately.
  
• Tena Goldenthunder (Gold Dragon) spot the nomad camp from overhead.
  
• A search party including Alaric Ironfeather, Nahuel Cloudsun, Quinlan Treefall and Alana Windchaser is formed to organize a rescue.
  
• The captured Suwani meet the bandit leader, Flynn. He attempts to assault several of the women - they are injured fighting back. Melisande and Abey are taken with him. Cael is able to create a distraction to save them.
  
• Abey Snowbird makes contact with a ghost attached to the group, later she finds out it is Lissa Filius, sister of Ryker Flint.
  
• Leya and Abey get into a fight with one of the bandits. Leya rescued by Ryker Flint who was revisiting his old bandit group - trying to negotiate return of the kidnapped men and women.
  
• The rescue party successfully saves the captured Suwani, killing many of the bandits including their leader. Alaric Ironfeather is forced to use his terrible necromantic powers to save them.
  
• Quinlan Treefall goes missing during the Rescue and subsequently becomes a prisoner of Zeleth (Black Dragon).
  
• Daren Taylor (Dragon/Latent) begins dating Devon Kerlis (Pyrokinetic).
  
• Francisca Bastien (Human) leaves Darius Casimir (Psionic) after he returned from the hospital. She disclosed her history with the Resistance before leaving, taking their dog with him.
  
• A green mamba, a pet of the nomads, bonds with Melisande Nightbloom. She names her Jayda.
  
• Maventh leaves Storm Heights temporarily after disagreeing with Jianna Nuying's decision to allow Tainted membership within the Aerie.
  
• Garth Logan returns to work as Sergeant for Urban Security.

May 2082:

• Ryker Flint (Suwani) adopts Ruse Stillwater (Suwani).
  
• Nüying Rouxinol (Silver) is woken from hibernation by Tena Goldenthunder (Gold) and Dayaal Audi (White).
  
• Duncan Kerlis finds out about Athena Garmieux being a dragon.

June 2082:

• Nüying Rouxinol (Silver) saves Ruse Stillwater (Suwani) from drowning.
  
• Cael Westbriar (Suwani) and Melisande Nightbloom (Suwani) become a couple.
  
• Melisande Nightbloom finds Conner Sablewing wandering in the woods. Takes pity on him as he is lost and hurt, and allows him to stay at her home until he recovers.
  
• Julian Hawthorne and Korina Irving set up a semi-permanent home for themselves in a run down bed and breakfast in the human sector.

July 2082:

• The Psionic Council hosts a 4th of July Masquerade. The new Artemis Force is revealed.
  
• Jr. Council Member Persephone Quinn feels Director Darius Casimir out over a possible change of leadership for Romford. She proposes more rights for humans including higher minimum wage, better standards of living and the right to education.
  
• A.J. Smith is promoted to head of the Artemis Division.
  
• The Resistance has a beach bonfire to celebrate Independence Day.
  
• Vlad Zivan and Sienna Rossi break their engagement.
  
• Cristian and Athena Garmieux finally confront one another about their existence in the city; it turns for the worst.
  
• Miles Langley is reunited with his long-lost sister, Cori Langley.

August 2082:

• Ryker Flint (Suwani) begans dating Leya Snowbird.
  
• Chessa Eleanor (Chimera) escapes the city with Red (Genetically Engineered Hawk) A member of the Artemis Project is killed, and a guard outpost at the city's border is blown up. The pair were not apprehended.
  
• Ramsay Sykora becomes Zonghi for Storm Heights Aerie.
  
• Vivienne Bellemont becomes Arianwen Louvian's handler in RSIS.
  
• Chen Qi begins looking for Vlad Zivan (and the new Resistance HQ) to talk about a new alliance.
  
• Pluto Shiroi is arrested by Jean Bellemont and interrogated. When Jean discovers that Pluto is a dragon, he begins training the dragon to become a spy.
  
• Alejandro Bastien (Human) shows his love to Cierra Moreno (Chimera) by giving her a promise ring.

September 2082:

• Devon Kerlis is kidnapped and tortured by Carpe for revenge. Devon testified against him, causing his imprisonment. He intended on selling her to the black market. Something that was halted by a rescue crew consisting of Daren Taylor, A.J. Smith, Duncan Kerlis, Aubrey/Red and Tristan McKie.
  
• Daren Taylor is promoted from Sergeant to Lieutenant in the DDN.
  
• The Resistance celebrates Kimie Zahra's (Chimera) 5th Birthday where her father Mikhail Nicholai (Electrokinetic) goes into heart failure. He was rushed to perform an illegal operation by Tristan McKie (Regen), assisted by Sienna Rossi (Human) and Devon Kerlis (Pryo).
  
• Tristan McKie learns about Cristian Garmieux's true identity, and the real reason for the cures found in Romford General. He is also promoted to watch over the progress of the cure-research.
  
• Cristian Garmieux tracks Athena Garmieux's house down and they slowly begin to reconcile.
  
• Duncan Kerlis and Athena Garmieux become romantically involved.
  
• Maeson Devereux (Gravikinetic) is released from house arrest.

October 2082:

• Sienna Rossi is arrested by UrbSec, she is released 3 days later.
  
• A local law firm hosts a Haunted Hotel for charity.
  
• The Resistance children go trick or treating around Hudson.
  
• Julian Hawthorne, while pickpocketing a woman in the Psionic sector, realizes that it's his old "keeper" Dylan Vixton.
  
• Tena Goldenthunder grudgingly invites Nuying Rouxinol to share her new residence on the outskirts of Mapiya.

November 2082:

• Kitsia M'guire (Psionic) is captured by the black dragon Zeleth for dinner but is rescued by the silver Nuying. From there she is taken to the village of Mapiya for help.
  
• Daren Taylor moves in with Devon Kerlis.

January 2083:

• Aubrey Monaghan (Human) returns to the Resistance after finding the Renegade.
  
• Tara Kaelin is apprehended and arrested by Garth Logan, being imprisoned in the RSIS Compound.
  
• Ross & Brooklyn Montgomery (Tainted) join Julian Hawthorn and Koring Irving as a means to survive with other Satinus escapees.

March 2083:

Maeson Devereux and Vivienne Bellemont become engaged.

• Zeleth Cerlorlos is captured by AJ Smith and Athena Garmieux. Was turned over to Satinus Technology.
  
• Miles Langley demands that Ranna-Mori (Dragon) stay away from the city, separating themselves and ending their relationship.

April 2083:

• Liam Donovan (Dragon) enters Romford with the help of his brother, Daren Taylor, in order to search for Taliesin Cledwyn.

May 2083:

• Alana Windchaser and Azael Morano become a couple.

June 2083:

• Akili Channing and Taliesin Cledwyn leave Storm Heights aerie to live in Romford.
